Angel's Rest
I always say that with photography, it's better to be lucky than good. This is one of those instances. I hiked up the Angel's Rest trail in the evening hoping for a sunset, but what I got far exceeded any expectations that I had. Rain was on and off for most of the hike and the trail was quite muddy. I was thinking that I'd likely get to the top and head right back down. But once I was up there this crazy thing happened where the sun started reflecting off of the river and illuminating the bottom of the clouds. The rain further enhanced the glow. It was quite the spectacle. I've never seen anything like it before or after. It was a moment not to forget, and I'm so happy to be able to share this image of it.
