Alvord Desert

This is one of my favorite places. Out in the middle of nowhere in SE Oregon lies the Alvord Desert in the shadow of the nearly 10k foot Steens Mountain. The patterns in the cracked mud make for infinite photo possibilities. Whenever I travel to this part of the state I feel like I've traveled back in time. I find it very peaceful.
